When someone is faced with felony charges, they could also be faced with severe consequences if convicted on those charges. Although everyone who is charged is innocent until proven guilty, public scrutiny can often pin a guilty label on an individual before they even reach the courtroom. The severity of these types of charges can have a profound effect on a person's life at work and home, so it is important to protect their rights to the strongest degree possible.
